How to create ca.crt file ?
1) Download OVPN files from Members section (https://members.astrill.com/openvpn-certificates.php)
2) You will find the certificate data in that "01-USA-Los-Angeles-F1.ovpn" (You can use any server you like xxx.ovpn). You need to copy/paste all text between <CA> and </CA> tags, but don't include those tags. Then save the file as "ca.crt". and then test on Synology NAS.
How to get OpenVPN working on Synology ?
1) Create an OpenVPN client connection on the Synology NAS using a ca.crt file. (Use certificate data from <CA> .... </CA> tags from xxx.opvn file then save this as "ca.crt")
2) Copy the xxxx.ovpn file from your site to the synology folder : /usr/syno/etc/synovpnclient/openvpn
3) Rename the xxxx.ovpn file to client_yyyyyyy, where client_yyyyyyy is the original name of the ovpn description in the NAS
4) Start the connection and it is working
5) Must not change anymore the configuration from the NAS software. If you do that the client_yyyyyyy file is restored to the original settings and you have to redo the copy. So, from now this part is working.
