AstrillVPN encrypts traffic between your device and the VPN server and replaces your public IP address with the server's IP address. It does not secure traffic beyond that server, remove every privacy risk, or guarantee content access.

The map marks Lisbon as a Portugal location. Server locations and availability can change, so check the AstrillVPN app for the current list before connecting.
AstrillVPN encrypts traffic on the path between your device and the selected VPN server. This can reduce exposure on local networks, but it does not protect traffic after it leaves the VPN server or make every website safe.
A dedicated IP option, where offered for Portugal and included with your plan, gives your account a consistent VPN IP address. It does not provide anonymity or prevent websites and accounts from identifying you in other ways.
Use the AstrillVPN app to view the locations currently available to your account. The list can change, and selecting another region changes your apparent IP location without guaranteeing access to regional content.
AstrillVPN provides apps for supported desktop and mobile platforms. Available features can vary by operating system, app version, subscription, and network conditions.
AstrillVPN can encrypt traffic to its VPN server and change the public IP address seen by online services. Websites, accounts, device settings, and traffic beyond the VPN server can still reveal information, and content providers may restrict or block VPN connections.
AstrillVPN can hide traffic contents and destinations from your ISP inside the encrypted tunnel, but the ISP can still see connection volume and VPN use. A VPN cannot prevent every form of throttling or guarantee faster or consistent speeds.
When peer-to-peer traffic is routed through the AstrillVPN tunnel, it can replace the IP address visible to peers and encrypt traffic to the VPN server, but it does not make torrenting anonymous. Accounts, client settings, leaks, and downloaded files can expose you. Follow applicable law and copyright rules.
When an AstrillVPN Portugal location is available, connecting to it can provide a Portuguese IP address while you travel. Websites, streaming platforms, and banks set their own access rules and may use other checks or block VPN traffic.
Some free VPNs may offer a Portugal location, but availability and limits can change. Review the provider's ownership, privacy policy, encryption, data retention, audits, business model, and support. Paying does not itself guarantee privacy or security.
